When applying for a SIM card at a local service center, foreign citizens must present their original passport or permanent residence ID. (II)Short-Term SIM Card Application

Foreign nationals can apply for short-term SIM cards with validity periods of 7 days, 15 days, or 30 days at designated telecommunications service centers. These SIM cards will automatically expire once their validity period ends. This short-term SIM card package is particularly suitable for foreign tourists visiting China. When applying for a new account, foreign passport holders and individuals with a permanent residence permit must undergo identity verification. For security and regulatory reasons, each identity document is only eligible to register for one SIM card.

(III)Public Transportation

1.Public Bus and Tram

Sanya boasts an extensive and highly developed public transportation network, with routes that crisscross the entire city, ensuring convenient access to almost every corner. As of now, the city is served by 132 bus lines and 23 operational terminal stations. After that, Sanya utilizes a distance-based fare system. Buses start at an initial fare of 2 Yuan, and the price gradually increases per the distance traveled. Generally, intra-city bus rides cost between 2 and 12 Yuan. Most bus services operate during the core hours of 6:00 - 20:00. In addition to buses, Sanya's tram system provides another convenient mode of transportation. The tram line, stretching from Sanya Railway Station to Jiangang Road, features 15 stops along its route. For added convenience, numerous hotels and resort villages in Sanya offer complimentary shuttle bus services to the city center and major attractions. To obtain detailed route information and schedules, guests are advised to inquire with the hotel staff.

There are several ticket-purchasing options available. You can use a dedicated public transport card for quick and convenient fare payment. If you choose to pay in cash, make sure to have the exact amount as no change will be provided. Additionally, you can open Alipay, go to the "Travel" section, select "Public Transport," and display the ride QR code for payment. Another option is to access the "Hainan eTravel" mini-program on WeChat and use the ride feature for seamless payment.

2.Air Travel

Sanya Phoenix International Airport (IATA: SYX)

Located approximately 11 kilometers west of downtown Sanya, this key transportation hub is the primary gateway connecting Hainan's tropical paradise to the global community. Commencing operations in July 1994, the 4E-standard airport accommodates major wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 747 and Airbus A340 with full-load takeoffs and landings. Haikou Meilan International Airport (IATA: HAK)

Qionghai Bo'ao Airport (IATA: BAR)

3.Railway

After completing real-name authentication on the platform using either a passport or a Foreign Permanent Residence Card, travelers can directly book tickets, enjoying the same convenient online booking services as domestic passengers.
